Also at the collection agency I work at we report to the credit bureaus after 60 days, keep in mind that it is a violation of FEDERAL LAW for collectors to divulge the fact that they are collecting a debt to a third party, this includes family, friends and relatives, I've witnessed first hand at working at a collection agency that this is violated too often.
